Logo is something which defines the Brand of a Company. We Identify the Companies  with their logos. but the logos we see today were not the same 5 or 10 years ago. I am listing few companies who have emerged as big brands and are recognized with their Logos only.

Apple

Apple is the Company which is owned by Steve Jobs and is the Manufacturer of few great products such as iPod, Mac, iPhone and the most recent iPad. Steve names the Company Apple because it was his favorite fruit. At first it’s logo had Isaac Newton sitting under an Apple tree but later it got changes into a multi colored fruit then to a totally black one and now the current one with a glass effect.

BMW

Everyone know that BMW is a car manufacturing company, but only few would be knowing that it was originally an Aircraft company with a Bavarian flag which has been used in the Logo also. Not much has been changed in the logo but it has been made more rich in texture now.

Cannon

Now, every guy who has a even a little interest in Photography, must be knowing about cannon, the company start their making cameras in 1934, the first one was called Kwanon, as u can see the logo which has the Buddhist Goddess with a thousand arms.

IBM

IBM is International Business Machines, earlier it was International Time Recording Company (ITR) but changed it’s name in 1924. IBM too has simplified it’s logo yet very unique.

Google

Google is just 10 year company and it’s logo has been pretty much the same, but you can see the development in it. it really gives the feel of Web 2.0.

Microsoft

Initially it was Micro-Soft when Bill Gates started the company in 1975, later it became Microsoft and the logo has been almost the same since 1987. In 2008 it rebranded with a new punch line of ‘Your Potential. Our Passion. One of the most simple Logos on a multi million dollar company.

Mozilla Firefox

Our very own browser Mozilla Firefox which is the most popular browser in the world, had  been named Phoenix previously, in 2002, later names Firebird and then finally became Firefox which is still the same. it has been tweaked a little bit to suit the web 2.0 environment.

Mercedes

Here is another Car company which has been experimenting with it’s logo since 1902. finally settled with an awesome logo. which has been the mark for Mercedes.

Nokia

Our very own most popular Mobile phone company, based in Finland, but it wasn’t always a mobile phone company. It too has changed its business from one point to another. It too had too many logos.

Pepsi

One of the most popular Soft drink in the world is Pepsi, but it was called Pepsi Cola initially, as the logo for it was the same till it was sold to Loft, inc by Caleb Bradham. Has seen a lot of changes in the logo.
