Tell Visitors that Subscription is Free

Most of Bloggers use Feed Reader to Burn Their blog’s feeds, and Feedburner give codes to put in blogs. But it uses the word Subscribe.  Few reader think that the Subscription will cost them something. So they don’t take interest in it. All you have to do is to tell people that the Subscription is Free. say like, Subscribe for Free, this will grab the attention of many visitors and they will happily Subscribe to your blog’s feed as far as it is Free.

Place the Subscription Link Smartly.

Well, this one is important too, the placement of the Subscription link is very important. You might have put your link in the sidebar, but few readers won’t notice if your blog’s sidebar has a lot of things. Put the link on the top of the sidebar. it should be first thing in the sidebar. Also, use Bold Fonts, or bigger fonts to attract some eyeballs.

Show Your Feed Count

Feedburner allows you to show feed counts, so use it. If you already have got something like 100 or 200 feed readers showing in the feed count, more and more visitors will grab your blog’s feeds. It’s same like Fashion, people seem to like what other like.

Show Your Subscription link on Each Page, above or below every post.

Most of the people come from Search engine and they land on a single page, instead of the homepage, So you should show your Subscription link on every page. To do so, add the code in Single.php file from theme editor inside wordpress, or use any plugin ( people who don;t know coding are recommended to use plugins,)

Go Outside your  blog and search for readers.

Just like you go to forums and promote you blog, or twitter handle, you can promote your Blog’s Feed. As you will be able to convey your message afterwards also, unlike a normal visitor who once visits and never comes back.  Make your Subscription link your Signature in forums, emails etc.
